It really doesn’t take much to get on CNN these days!
December 1, 2009 | 11:32 amSo Obama had this big dinner this weekend. Today is Tuesday. And STILL, one of the main talking points, every hour on CNN, is the gate crashers, are they, aren’t they. Seriously? Must really be a slow news week. Who gives a freakin’ crap?
CNN has really lowered the barrier to entry for making it in the news. Watch everyone trying to get that 15 minutes of fame now, it’s so easy. You don’t have to have a talent, have anything to say, have killed anyone, rescued anyone. No, gate crash a famous party, and hey presto! you’re in the news… for way longer than 15 minutes, it seems.
What makes me laugh is Tiger Woods on the other hands. REFUSING to give the media ANYTHING on him crashing his car into a tree. Not one titbit of info. And still they can’t let it go, cuz now, of course, him NOT giving info IS the news.
I heard a commentator say “well if he just had given a statement, this would all go away”. Yeah, right, cuz we left the gate crashers alone the next day, yes?
For Mr. Woods, this is “damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t”. And personally, i’m proud to see he’s not. This is none of ANYONE’S freakin’ business. He wasn’t drunk, no one was injured, the cops don’t even need a statement. Leave the man alone already.
I come to CNN for news. I read US weekly for gossip. Let’s not confuse the two, ok?
